[CivicAccess-discuss] Election Campaign Transparency Commitments

Hello,

At VisibleGovernment.ca, we're putting together a list of transparency commitments for election candidates to pledge to.  Our inspiration is Lawrence Lessig's 'Change Congress' campaign, whose pledge questions challenge candidates to:

- accept contributions from individuals only, lobbyists excepted. 
- support the fundamental reform of congressional earmarks. 
- support reform to increase transparency in Congress. 
- support public financing of public elections. 

As you may notice, only the 'support reform to increase transparency' pledge is applicable to Canada....   If you were to come up with a list of similar pledges for government transparency in Canada, what would be on it?
