You know, that's a great idea.  Candidates in the US used signing on to Change Congress as a press release opportunity, eg. here:

I'll do up a pre-formatted press release example and send it to the candidates that have signed on.

The Facebook group seems to be going strong.  Almost 40 people overnight, over a hundred more invited.  Wow.
