Oh there are -- and they work for the Conservative Party! The Conservative
have some very smart programmers, database designers, and coders on their
payroll. I know a few of them. The NDP, too, does a relatively sophisticated
job of using database tools to track their voters, donors and volunteers.
For too long, the Liberals didn't think they needed this stuff and are now
finding that they have to rapidly catch up -- hence the decision to buy
someone else's stuff. And the Conservatives and NDP were hardly going to
sell them the applications they've adapted for Canadian use!
