Cory, I think you're being very diplomatic :)

I'll be blunt: even if the programmers behind parl.gc.ca were
world-class, they still have their hands tied by bureaucracy and
legacy technology. A cheaper and much more promising approach is to
make Hansard machine-readable, so we can develop a search engine for
how MPs vote and *what they said*.

And speaking of transparency, they'd also release the PCFRF.

Voting records is just the first baby step towards transparency and
accountability. Merely duplicating what volunteers did years ago just
doesn't cut it.
