Hey all;
I was invited to create an open data pitch here by the organizers of this
event. I met some of the organizers of this event at Change Camp in Ottawa
this summer.
Apparently this is a non-partisan event, if you can make a pitch, do so, and
if you feel like making an open data / open access pitch, well even better.
*Here is where you do so:* http://can150.ca/your-ideas/
If you could pitch your bold idea to Canada’s leading thinkers and doers,
what would you say? This March, we want you to do just that as we bring
progressive Canada together in Montreal for a non-partisan conference called
*Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge*.
Whether you live in Inuvik, Yorkton, Trois-Rivières or Wawa, we’ll fly the
two winners to Montreal, put you up in a hotel, give you a conference pass
and ask you to make your pitch. All you have to do is submit your bold idea
— one that will confront the big challenges ahead for Canada as it
celebrates its 150th birthday — before the contest closes on March 8th.
You can submit your idea one of two ways: either as a 2-minute YouTube video
or as a 500-word essay. We’ll announce the two winning entries – one English
and one French – on March 11th.
Cheers
