Hi Everyone,
If you haven't heard yet, my organization, Knowledge As Power
<http://knowledgeaspower.org>, has organized an open government
conference on March 26th & 27th at Seattle City Hall called Open Gov
West <http://opengovwest.org>.
It's a two-day conference and unconference helping governments,
electeds, nonprofits and citizens address common challenges and
partnership opportunities around open government issues.
You can find more information on it in my op ed in the Seattle Times
<http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/opinion/2011332851_guest15schacht.html>
and on Open Gov West's site.  If you're interested in coming, 2 day
passes are $85, including meals for both days.
You can also register for day two, the unconference, for just $35.
--And if there's an open government/technology/civic
engagement/transparency/social media in government topic or something
similar you want to present on, come with a presentation in mind. The
most popular sessions (there's over 25 slots) will be put into the
schedule!
Hope to see you there, and if you can, please share this email with
colleagues in BC, OR, CA, ID, and MT---we've got online travel
scholarship application
<https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dFE5eHNnaVRWbkZXTzBsREd2cmFtX3c6MA>s
open through the end of the week for out of state attendees!
And, thanks again to everyone from WoC '09... my experience there led
me to starting up Open Gov West!
Best,
Sarah
